Örnsköldsvik.net, Moyo, Area 1 and some other companies is all set for next weekend´s back to school bash 2008 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
Extreme sport athletes from all around Sweden will meet up to battle it out as the back to school bash 2008 champion in Örnsköldsvik on August 30.
The place is called strandparken and it´s located right next to Swedbank arena, the home arena of Modo Hockey, last years elitserien champions.

Elitserien efter jul
Om man för att roa sig själv tar en titt på elitserien efter jul så ser man att Modo hockey inte bara slåss om en top 4 placering och framförallt en andra plats efter hv71, Modo hockey är faktiskt ohotad 1:a i elitserien efter jul.
På 16 matcher har det blivit hela 36 poäng och på andra plats hittar man Hv71 på 29 poäng, Färjestad är trea med 26 poäng, än mer intressant är faktiskt att Modo hockeyy även har elitseriens bästa målskillnad efter jul.
Läsare med gott minne kan därmed dra paraleller till tidigare Modo säsonger med Harald Lückner där laget varit som bäst perioden efter jul och om man skall vara helt ärlig är det ju perioden efter jul som är viktigast.

review.NHL08, playstation 3
Well to keep it short, this is by far the best sports game i´ve ever played and thus, the best ice hockey game ´til date.
It looks great, it moves great and sounds great, it´s pure fun moving and controling the players and you truly do control them, drop the puck ´til the left of the defender and skate past him on the right, catch the puck again and go right,left with the stick and right again, fake a right backhand and once the goalie starts to move to counter your backhand... Swing left with your stick and move your skates aswell to get that momentum going and drop a hard and quick wristshot high up in the net behind the goalie.
Total control and pure fun, that´s NHL.08
The training mode is another great introduction and it´s actually fun training shots and shootouts and even more so is creating your very own plays and realizing it´s not just in theory, they do work ingame once created.
Anyway, Nhl.08 looks and sounds like a hd game thats for sure and it´s animations are just as good and playing online do work and realy good to, but it´s still @ it´s peak when playing against family and friends in the sofa, which we´re happy to say we get to do as much as we want to.
Great game if you have four or more sixaxis to go alongside your ps3, one is enough and two is great fun, but playing 2 vs 2 is plain crazy (and hard).
9.6* out of 10 and playing as last years sm gold winner, Modo hockey and pummeling nhl teams to bits and pieces is almost as good as the real deal

Modo Hockey.new HD media cube
Modo Hockey will finaly get it´s new HD powered 16:9 media cube, 8 screens with 1920 x 1080 res per screen + a new LED screen outside of the Swedbank arena will make sure people wont miss anything during the 2007.2008 season, good riddens we´re finaly getting rid of that old bastard :)

Modo Hockey.11 august örnsköldsvik
Was the day for Modo hockeys official first public icehockey training this season in Swedbank arena.
We were of course there and so were about 4-5000 other fans, and it was for sure a bliss, Peter forsberg and Sedin,dont remember if it was daniel or henrik, participated aswell and so did the new recruites lika tolsa.
One have to say that Peter looked more agile and light on his feets then he´s done in alot of years, it was great fun finaly seeing him play again in Övik and in a Modo jersey :) and he looked like he had a realy great time, which isnt something i can say i´ve seen in a long, long time.
It also marked the return of mr.modo, Magnus wernblom to the club and did he get a nice, warming welcome, the fans stood up and gave him a standing ovation, cheering, "werner, werner".
Great stuff and it realy made us all look forward til the start of the season even more!

Modo hockey.signs with Patrick yetman
A 27 year old Canadian player recently got signed to Modo Hockey, The current sm gold champions in Swedens elitserien ice hockey league, Modo has done a bunch of realy good recruitments last few years, including signing Karol Krizan for several seasons, Justin morrison last year(even tho it just ended with one season),Robert döme was another highlight, which sadly ended with just one season aswell even tho the player himself wanted to stay in the club and was realy loved by the fans.
Kristian Kusela was yet one more succesfull recruitment, signed just for the playoffs, and as such he did the match ending goals in the two last games, so i have high hopes that modo once again has done it´s homework.
Anyway, im sure Patrick is psyched over coming to Modo, playing in the worlds second best ice hockey league outside of NHL and getting to play for Modo, a globaly wellknown club and recognised for it´s ability to produce NHL stars, actually more then anyother town of it´s size in the world, so it will be fun to see how much energy he can bring with him.

Modo hockey.summertime blues
Recent news for Modo hockey during the summer have had both it´s up´s and downs.
Obviously one cant except everything to be as shiny as the sm gold that Modo won this year but loosing Robert Döme was and still is sad, despite how his personal life was outside of the rink he was a cherrished and loved ice hockey player in Modo hockey and a realy good one aswell, always positive and feeding emotions and energy to both the team and audience.
And of course since he had one year on his contract and Modo recently powned all the competition in the playoffs it was quite surprising to see Robert leave Modo in the middle of summer, and i guess we all know and understand that something else was the reason for the abrubt breakup.
But to counter that low, Modo announced that Jari tolsa had signed a 1 + 1 contract, and since Jari is another high energy, emotional player that´s a good thing.
And another thing of beauty is happening next weekend, august 11 to be more precise and the happening is Modo´s first public training, we´ll also get to see some classic Modo jerseys being hauled up in the air + an internal game and of course we´ll be there.

Modo Hockey: facing russian top teams, jan 08
Russian top teams, Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Slovan Bratislava is poised to face 07 sm gold winner Modo Hockey in 2008 years Europe cup.
Only one team goes on to meat the winner from the other group, and i guess both Modo and both russian teams had wished they played in the second group, which looks far easier, anyway, great games to look forward to for hockey fans from all over the world.

modo. golden rain of financial success
modo was last seasons big winner, in every term imaginable.
they won the sm.gold, they had the biggest financial profit of all elitserien teams, and they dubled up their revenue...
Not to mention that they finaly got a new arena, and what a new great place to call home! Modo hockey also saw it´s home audience rise from the ashes and once again deserver the good ol saying, swedens most one eyed audience, hell yeah!!
what a great year.

nhl. anaheim brought home the cup
and a big hooray for samme, it´s always nice to see a modo player taking home something big, and he´s always been one of my fav players, a hard working, ass kicking player that doesnt make much headlines, but he´s always there doing his work better then most.
